    • L. Hithadhoo School was established on 17 March 1976, originally known as Makthabu Amalu, and later renamed in 2007 to reflect its home island in Laamu Atoll. Since its founding, the school has played a central role in educating and shaping generations of students from the island community. We are committed to providing quality education within a safe and caring environment that upholds Islamic principles and national identity.

      Our dedicated teachers work to bring out the best in every child by encouraging curiosity, creativity, and compassion. With a focus on both academic achievement and moral development, L. Hithadhoo School continues to stand as a proud pillar of learning and community progress in Laamu Atoll.

      Since established, L. Hithadhoo School has grown from a small community school into a comprehensive educational institution that prepares students for both national and international academic standards. We offer education from Kindergarten to Grade 10 and follow the Maldives National Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE & Edexcel Btech programs.
